DESCRIPTION:THIS IS A MUST ATTEND EVENT for Dressage riders!\nThere will be three one-hour sessions. There is NO FEE to IDS members\, however registration is required. Registration fee for NON-IDS members is $30 for all three sessions. L Grads can earn three credits of CE by completing a quiz after all three sessions. \nTaste of Session A – August 9\, 8:00pm EDT\n\nRules\nHow to develop a score\nBiomechanics of the Parts of the Horse\nUsing Biomechanics to recognize the “BASICS” represented by Pyramid of Training\n\nTaste of Session B – August 16\, 8:00pm EDT\n\nThe purpose and criteria of Training-Second Levels\nAddressing the most important aspect or essence of each movement\nTreat modifiers correctly in scoring and comments\n\nTaste of Session C – August 23\, 8:00pm EDT\n\nCollective Marks\nGaits\, Impulsion\, Submission\, Position and Seat of the Rider\nCorrect and Effective Use of Aids\nJudging Freestyles\nHarmony\, Choreography\, Degree of Difficulty\, Music\, Interpretation\n\nWe are delighted to have the highly qualified Joan Darnell to lead this course. Joan is a USEF “S” Dressage Judge and a member of the USDF “L” Faculty\, USDF Judges Committee\, USDF Freestyle Committee and USEF Licensed Officials Working Group. She earned her USDF Bronze\, Silver and Gold Medals as well as the USDF Diamond Diploma for Continuing Education in the study of Dressage.
