DESCRIPTION:IDS is pleased to host Part 1 of the USDF L Education Program in the Winter/Spring of 2024! \nDeveloped by the USDF Judges’ Committee\, this educational training program teaches judges to evaluate the correct training of dressage horses. \nThe L Education Program is designed with several goals in mind: \n\nProvide trainers\, instructors\, competitors and spectators’ insight into the evaluative techniques of judging dressage.\nPrepare and evaluate candidates who wish to pursue entry into the USEF ‘r’ Judge Training Program.\nProvide continuing education for licensed judges and L graduates.\n\nThe Program is divided into two parts; each part is made up of three sessions. DESCRIPTION:IDS is pleased to present the USDF program: Know the Movements as a 3-hour online session with “S” Judge Kathy Rowse presenting. \nThis remote education program was developed by USDF to cover all aspects of the test movements from Training through Fourth level including test directives\, gymnastic effect\, and what can go wrong. “S” Judge Kathy Rowse from Suffolk\, VA will instruct the course. \nKnow the Movements is an ideal learning opportunity for riders of all levels. Furthermore\, this program is approved for 3 hours of L Graduate Continuing Education with attendance and upon passing an online quiz at the conclusion of the session. \n \nAbout Kathy Rowse\nKathy Rowse is a USDF Bronze\, Silver and Gold medalist from Suffolk\, Virginia. Kathy has been a USEF “S” (Senior) dressage judge since 1999. She serves USDF as Vice-Chairman of the L Education Faculty and as a member on the Youth Committee in addition to many years spent on the board of her local GMO. Kathy is a Dedicated Pilates Practitioner and a Competitive Ballroom and Country Dancer.   \nSilverleaf Farm has very active Professional\, Junior/ Young Rider\, and Adult Amateur programs. After successful back surgery and rehab which forced the cancellation of April’s clinic\, Jeff is ready to return. \nWe hope you can join us to take advantage of this very special educational opportunity.   \n \nJ. Ashton Moore Clinic Application Form\nJ. Ashton “Jeff” Moore is a USEF “S” dressage judge\, sporthorse breeding judge\, and has judged at the FEI World Equestrian Games. Jeff is the head trainer\, owner and operator of Osierlea in San Juan Bautista\, CA. As a successful competitor\, Jeff earned USDF Bronze\, Silver and Gold medals. He has ridden seven horses at the Grand Prix level\, and was shortlisted for the Olympics. Jeff has trained more than 20 Grand Prix horses ridden by his students. \nJeff has a deep involvement in several key organizations and initiatives\, often times working together with the late Liz Searle. Jeff and Liz conceived and launched the USDF “L” Education Program. He also co-authored the USDF Glossary of Judging Terms. Jeff is the Co-Founder and former Executive Director of the Dutch Warmblood Studbook in North America (KWPN-NA). He is also co-founder and Technical Advisor of the American Vaulting Association. \nJeff is a student of some interesting characters\, including Col. Alois Podhajsky\, Director of the Spanish Riding School; Col. Waldemar Seunig\, a famous author of several seminal works about dressage; Count Herman Wrangel; and Baron Hans von Blixen-Finecke\, an Olympic gold medalist\, coach\, and Commandant of the Swedish Cavalry School at Stromsholm Castle.

DESCRIPTION:The Indiana Dressage Society is excited to host a Rider Biomechanics Clinic with Britta Pederson on June 24th & 25th at Far Away Farms in Pittsboro\, IN. \nThe clinic filled right away but we have one open spot after a rider injury\, so please email Linda Kimbell if you’d like to participate. \n \n \nAbout Britta Pederson\nBritta is a licensed physiotherapist from New Zealand as well as an international competitor in both dressage and eventing. Britta began in Pony Club\, then evented through the Advanced level\, before switching disciplines and working her way up to Grand Prix dressage. Gwen is currently employed at Parker Adventist Hospital\, as a Critical Care Tech in the Emergency Department after her retirement of 12 years as a Volunteer Fire Fighter with the Elizabeth Fire Department. \nAt the 2022 USDF Annual Meeting\, Gwen was an invited speaker where she spoke on how to handle rider related accidents. DESCRIPTION:Natalie Lamping “S” will present A Look at the 2023 USEF/USDF Tests on Saturday\, March 11th starting at 8:45am. The event will feature Natalie’s classroom lecture and live demonstration rides through the levels. \n \n2 Hours of USDF CE Credit\nUSDF L Graduates who attend this event will receive 2 USDF Continuing Education credit hours. Your $50 fee includes the education and live demonstration rides plus your choice of Turkey Sandwich or Ham Sandwich box lunch from Honey Baked Ham. \n  \nAuditors Welcome\nAuditors are welcome to attend this clinic\, but will not receive USDF CE Credit. Natalie been trusted to judge the selection trials for the Olympic\, Pan Am\, World Cup\, and World Equestrian Games dressage teams. Natalie is training our next generation of judges as an examiner for the USEF Dressage Judge’s program\, and has led may USEF committees over her career.

DESCRIPTION:IDS welcomes back Jeff Moore for our second clinic of the year! \nJ. Ashton Moore Clinic Application Form\nJ. Ashton “Jeff” Moore is a USEF “S” dressage judge\, sporthorse breeding judge\, and has judged at the FEI World Equestrian Games. Jeff is the head trainer\, owner and operator of Osierlea in San Juan Bautista\, CA. As a successful competitor\, Jeff earned USDF Bronze\, Silver and Gold medals. He has ridden seven horses at the Grand Prix level\, and was shortlisted for the Olympics. Jeff has trained more than 20 Grand Prix horses ridden by his students. \nJeff has a deep involvement in several key organizations and initiatives\, often times working together with the late Liz Searle. Jeff and Liz conceived and launched the USDF “L” Education Program. He also co-authored the USDF Glossary of Judging Terms. Jeff is the Co-Founder and former Executive Director of the Dutch Warmblood Studbook in North America (KWPN-NA). He is also co-founder and Technical Advisor of the American Vaulting Association. \nJeff is a student of some interesting characters\, including Col. Alois Podhajsky\, Director of the Spanish Riding School; Col. Waldemar Seunig\, a famous author of several seminal works about dressage; Count Herman Wrangel; and Baron Hans von Blixen-Finecke\, an Olympic gold medalist\, coach\, and Commandant of the Swedish Cavalry School at Stromsholm Castle. \nJ.
