DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an IDS clinic hosting Ulf Wadeborn at Ellen Smitson’s Fishback Creek Farm in Zionsville\, IN from April 18-19\, 2026. \nUlf Wadeborn is a native of Sweden with an extensive equestrian career. Ulf originally came to California on vacation with friend and longtime trainer Bo Tibblin and longtime friend and associate Maria Torwald. What was supposed to be vacation turned into a partnership offer by Lars. With a background in jumping and dressage\, Ulf was educated at Strömsholm\, the Swedish National Riding School\, and has worked with Bo Tibblin\, the former head of dressage training. \nPrior to him coming to the United States\, Ulf worked for Strömsholm\, in the capacity as Head of Stable Management\, and more recently as a riding and training consultant for the Swedish Equestrian Federation. Besides competing in both jumping and dressage competitions\, Ulf is a certified ‘R’ rated judge within Sweden\, and he has been awarded his ‘S’ USEF judging license in the United States. Ulf is a board member of SWANA (Swedish Warmblood Association North America) and he has also become a breeding judge within Sweden. DESCRIPTION:IDS will be hosting Cindy Butler at Randy McStoots’ RM Elite Equine\, LLC on April 11 and 12\, 2026. Stabling is available. \nCindy Butler of Caseyville\, IL is the current president of Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA). She holds multiple judges cards including a R western dressage card. She also works as an instructor in the WDAA Group Apprentice Judges Program and the WDAA Judges seminar and serves on many of the WDAA’s committees. She is also the recipient of the 2025 Pegasus Medal of Honor that was presented during the US Equestrian Pegasus awards in January. This award recognizes individuals whose dedication\, leadership\, and lifelong service have shaped the landscape of equestrian sport. Honoring those who elevate our community\, our athletes and our future. \nSelection will be based on the information provided in the application regarding competition history for the horse and rider combination\, IDS membership and availability. DESCRIPTION:We are proud to announce that IDS is hosting a clinic with the world-renowned judge\, trainer and rider Sarah Geikie.  Sarah is a USEF “S” Dressage judge and a FEI 4 star Dressage judge.  The clinic will be held May 10-11\, 2025 at Kolowa Equestrian in Atlanta\, IN. \n\nSarah Geikie has been a lifelong equestrian. She is a USEF “S” Dressage Judge and an FEI 4 Star Dressage judge. She is a USDF Certified Instructor through 4th Level and a USDF Instructor/Trainer Faculty member and Examiner. She is currently the Co-Chair of the USDF Instructor/Trainer Committee. Sarah has earned her bronze\, silver and gold medals and has trained numerous horses to the Grand Prix Level. We have two new options. \nWe still have 1 spot available in our $20 Ride-a-Test Clinic Friday afternoon for a chance to warm-up and Ride-a-Test at the horsepark. Stephanie Sidoti Hall (L Graduate) will judge your test and give you feedback to improve the quality of your ride\, then you’ll have a chance to come back and re-ride your test after a short schooling period. \nAnd new for 2025\, we’ve added a Coached Test of Choice class both Saturday and Sunday. The Coached Test of Choice gives riders the chance to ride down centerline with your coach in your ear. In these two Coached classes\, we allow coach and rider to wear wireless communication devices\, typically Bluetooth headsets paired to CeeCoach radios or phones. Coached Test of Choice rides will be scored like Hors Concours (HC) rides where the judge will score the ride\, but the score is never published or counted towards ribbons or year end awards.

Email Linda Kimbell to be placed on the wait list. \nIDS is pleased to bring in Jennifer Mitchell\, Physical Therapist\, for a biomechanics clinic at Far Away Farm. Jennifer is the lead physio clinician for USEF. She spent the summer working with the US Equestrian Team athletes across at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. She will do on and off the horse evaluations and make a comprehensive home program to address specific rider imbalances. \nThis biomechanics clinic will be held November 16-17 at Far Away Farms. Cost is $180 per rider for a one hour sessions both on and off horse. We can take up to 10 riders on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. \n \n \nAbout Jennifer MitchellJennifer Mitchell\, PT\, is a USEF Certified Practitioner\, thru the High Performance Program\, and Human Science and Sports Medicine Program of the US Equestrian Federation. She is the current contracted Lead Physio for the Olympic disciplines of US Equestrian. She is one of only four physical therapists nation-wide to be selected and trained to provide services to the squads and teams of the US Equestrian Federation. Jennifer has been a practicing Sports Medicine physical therapist since 1995\, with a strong focus on biomechanics\, integrated manual therapy and corrective exercise. Jennifer is also an equestrian athlete herself\, competing successfully over the last 40+ years in multiple disciplines\, including dressage\, hunters/jumpers\, and combined training.>

SUMMARY:IDS Adult Camp
DESCRIPTION:Indiana Dressage Society Presents: Adult Dressage Camp October 4th\, 5th and 6th 2024 \nWant to immerse yourself in a weekend of fun\, education\, friends and most importantly Dressage? Then plan to join us for the IDS Adult Dressage Camp to be held October 4th-6th at the Hoosier Horse Park. We will host up to 18 adult riders (must be 18+) for a weekend of instruction\, lectures\, friendship and horses! \nApply To Ride or Sign Up To Audit\nRegistration will open in May and will be first-come-first-served with preference given to current IDS/USDF members. If the Camp is over subscribed\, there will be a lottery to determine who is selected to ride. \nThis camp is appropriate for riders from Training to 4th Level. \nA deposit of $200 will be required at registration (and will be refunded for those who are not selected in the case of a lottery) and a wait list will be started once we have 18 riders. The balance of fees will be due 30 days before the start of camp (September 4\, 2024) \nAs is customary in a clinic situation\, if you are selected to ride and then have to cancel your refund will be determined by whether or not your spot can be filled. \nHorse or rider injury (or illness) that eliminates the ability to participate in the camp program: Rider must submit medical proof of either the rider’s or horse’s injury/illness prior to the date balance is due. In this case the deposit is forfeit\, but the team will not be liable for the remainder of the balance and the spot will be offered to individuals on the waiting list. \nIf the rider cancels after paying the balance of $600\, and another rider is available to take the spot\, the rider will receive a refund minus a $25 office fee. If no rider is available to take the place of the injured or sick team\, a refund of $400 will be provided. \nThe fee schedule for Camp is as follows:\n$800.00\n2 lessons each day given by USDF Certified Instructors\nAll meals\nDaily lectures at lunch and during the evenings\nStabling for the weekend\nFun activities such as trail rides\, and even story time\nCamper spaces will be available for anyone who wants to stay on grounds in their trailers (or tents if you are tough!) $30 per night. \nLodging:\nWe will also be reserving hotel rooms (location TBD) somewhere near the horse park for those who need them.\nAccommodations will be paid for individually by campers and we would encourage folks to consider sharing rooms and or trailers where you can! \nArrival:\nCampers will move in on Thursday October 3rd and enjoy a Meet and Greet Social gathering. She is the author of a series of novels titled\, “The Dressage Chronicles” as well as the novel “Betwixt the Stirrup and the Ground” and its sequel\, “Mercy Asked\, Mercy Found. She earned her USDF Bronze\, Silver\, and Gold rider medals on horses she trained herself. She graduated “with Distinction” from the USDF “L” program. She is a USDF certified Instructor/Trainer through fourth level. Although semi-retired\, she is lucky enough to still have horses in her daily life. \nSummary of Achievements:\nBronze\, Silver and Gold medals\nUSDF L Program graduate with Distinction\nUSDF Certified Instructor through 4th Level \nJennifer Grant\nGrant is a USDF Silver and Bronze Medalist\, L Graduate with Distinction. She has trained several horses to 4th level\, competed through Intermediate on an Appendix Quarter Horse she trained herself and currently working on Grand Prix. Jennifer was a working student for Pamela Goodrich and continues to work with Pam as well as riding in clinics with Cindy Ishoy\, Lilo Fore\, Olivia LaGoy Weltz\, Jeremy Steinberg\, Lendon Grey\, Steffen Peters\, Courtney King Dye\, and Jane Savoie. \nSummary of Achievements:\nSilver and Gold medals\nUSDF L graduate with Distinction\nUSDF Certified Instructor through 2nd Level \nKate Fleming-Kuhn\nKate Fleming-Kuhn is a USDF Certified Instructor through Fourth Level and USDF Bronze\, Silver (at age 16)\, and Gold Medalist (at age 21). Kate has trained horses and riders through Grand Prix with regional and national success. Kate’s introduction to horses came early through her father\, Dr. James Fleming. She began riding at StarWest as a junior rider in 1992\, taking lessons with Alice Martin. Kate continues her education under her long-time mentor\, Gerhard Politz\, with whom she has ridden since 1998 in clinics and as a working student. Kate has also ridden regularly under Col.
