SUMMARY:IDS May Schooling Show
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we kick off the show season with the IDS May Schooling Show at the Hoosier Horse Park on Saturday and Sunday May 3-4. \nJudges: Paula Briney “r” (IL) and Elizabeth Gagliardi “L Grad w/ Distinction” (IN) \nProvisional Schedule & Live Scoring\nStall Charts & Campsite Assignments\nCompetitor Notes\nPrizelist\nLiability Waiver\nVolunteer\nNeed a bit of work before showing? We have two new options. \nWe still have 1 spot available in our $20 Ride-a-Test Clinic Friday afternoon for a chance to warm-up and Ride-a-Test at the horsepark. Stephanie Sidoti Hall (L Graduate) will judge your test and give you feedback to improve the quality of your ride\, then you’ll have a chance to come back and re-ride your test after a short schooling period. \nAnd new for 2025\, we’ve added a Coached Test of Choice class both Saturday and Sunday. The Coached Test of Choice gives riders the chance to ride down centerline with your coach in your ear. In these two Coached classes\, we allow coach and rider to wear wireless communication devices\, typically Bluetooth headsets paired to CeeCoach radios or phones. Coached Test of Choice rides will be scored like Hors Concours (HC) rides where the judge will score the ride\, but the score is never published or counted towards ribbons or year end awards.

SUMMARY:Focus on Collective Marks! a USDF Continuing Education Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Indiana Dressage Society is proud to present the USDF Continuing Education webinar Focus on Collective Marks! presented by Sue Kolstad. \nThis webinar is focused on the Collective Marks found at the end of all USEF National Dressage Tests. The Collective Marks should reflect the entire test and are a summary of the performance of horse and rider. The average of all collective marks should be in the same range as the average of all marks for the execution of the movements of test. The webinar is designed to give you a better understanding of how the judge derives the collective mark scores and how they relate to the marks achieved for the test movements. \nUpon completion of the webinar\, USDF L Graduates and L Candidates will receive Continuing Educational credits. Others will receive USDF University Credit. \nAbout Sue Kolstad\nSue has been a horse professional for over 50 years and a Dressage Judge for 40 of those years. She has trained and competed several horses at the Grand Prix level and coached many students to their Bronze\, Silver and Gold medals. Sue’s home base is Kentucky but she calls Florida home during the winter. As a USEF “S” Dressage Judge\, Sue travels extensively across the country judging and giving clinics. As a former teacher\, competitor\, and trainer\, Sue uses her classical training to help students and competitors understand the training fundamentals and how they impact their test scores. \nResister to Attend\nThis IDS Webinar will be held on August 12\, 2024\, at 8:00pm (East Coast Time). The program is free for all USDF GMO and PM members\, not just IDS members. \nPlease contact Ken Levy with any questions. \n
